The school has achieved Healthy School Status and we are proud of our commitment to healthy eating, with a varied menu focusing on using fresh, locally sourced produce. Our excellent school lunches are cooked on the premises and the current cost is £2.30 per day. Children may request meals on a day-by-day basis, or alternatively bring a packed lunch. We encourage healthy packed lunches and snacks – at break times children may eat a piece of fruit that they have brought from home (sweets, biscuits and crisps are not allowed).
Lunchtimes are a relaxed, social occasion where children are expected to make choices and show a degree of independence. School meals are served on a cafeteria basis, with a salad bar and choice of main meals and puddings.
Meet our wonderful kitchen staff
Please note the week beginning dates at the top of each page to denote which menu is being followed. It works on a 3 week cycle.
We have been asked on behalf of Chartwells to advise you that our kitchen does not offer the packed lunch menu which appears on the back of their printed menus.
They currently offer sandwiches with either cheese, ham, tuna or tuna mayonnaise with a side salad, a choice of fruit and a pudding which is the same dessert served with the hot meals.
All school meals are provided by Chartwells and can be paid for by cash in advance or on the day, or using ParentPay. Each family has been given an activation code to help sign up. If you have misplaced or forgotten yours, please drop in to our school office to ask for a new one.
There are certain circumstances in which pupils may receive free school meals and details of how to apply are available from the school office. Packed lunches can also be provided for children on educational visits by arrangement with the school kitchen. Trip information letters will have the option to request this on the permission slip.
If you have any outstanding balance, a letter will be sent home requesting that it is cleared as soon as possible.
