Before and After School Club

The school operates a childcare service from 7.45 a.m. until school starts and from the end of the school day until 5.45 p.m. (5.30 p.m. on Fridays).  The cost of this service is currently £4.00 for the morning session and a maximum of £8.00 for the afternoon. Places are strictly limited under our registration with OfSTED and so a ‘drop-in’ service is not available.

For further details please contact the school office on 01227 374069 during school hours or our School Club Leader during timetabled club hours – the club is located in the mobile classrooms at the edge of the playground.  You can also email wendy.barwick@herne-junior.kent.sch.uk  Places are available to pupils of both Herne Junior and Herne Infant Schools – infant children are escorted to and from the infant school site.

Extra Curricular Activities

We run a variety of extra curricular activities each term which are run voluntarily by staff.  These take place during the lunch hour or after school (finish time 4:15 p.m. unless stated otherwise). Children are welcome to join as many as they wish to attend as long as spaces are available. 

All you need to do is complete the permission form sent out via Weduc each term for any club your child wishes to attend.
