Matthew 5 v 14-16
14 ‘You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.’
We want to shine as lights, not just in our school but further afield in our families and communities. Many of us have talents and gifts that we can use for the benefit our communities, so we should share them and serve one another. Hopefully our words and actions would have a positive effect on those around us and will encourage and strengthen our community as well as to draw others to Christ.
